Duke of Edinburgh

At Langley Grammar School, we provide the opportunity for students to work towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award in either a Bronze, Silver or Gold level. All levels are highly recognised by universities and employers, as the Award gives a clear indication of a student’s skill set, motivation and commitment.

We routinely have more students wishing to take part in the Award programme than we can support with our current staffing levels, so entry is very competitive.

School opened in 1956.

Biometric Canteen

A Cashless Catering System is a solution, which is purpose designed to meet the ever evolving needs and demands of the Catering Provision that is required by today’s Schools and Academies.

The Trust-‐e Cashless Solution allows schools to be better able to provide their students with a faster, more efficient and more appealing meal service.

Once an account is credited the pupil or staff member places their finger/thumb on the EPOS Terminal, which looks up their account details and allows them to purchase items using only this method of identification.
